The newly established Palumbo-Reef Ora Resort is located in Uroa on the east coast of Zanzibar, near Kiwenga, approximately 40 kilometres from the airport of Stone Town. The resort crosses lengthwise from the reception to the beach following the central avenue where you can find all the rooms, the restaurant and the swimming pool. At the end of the avenue you will be amazed by the many different enchanting blue shades of the Indian Ocean and the white sandy beach of Uroa where you can admire beautiful strips of sand during low tide and have pleasant walks. Because the hotel is close to the typical African village of Uroa, you will have the possibility to get to know friendly people at their daily work
Accomodation: 100 Rooms in two-floors cottages spread in a lush garden: 28 Standard Rooms, 32 Deluxe Rooms, 6 Jungle Rooms, 24 Junior Suites, 8 Suites and 1 Presidential Suite. Most of the rooms are ocean view. Each room is furnitured with Zanzibari settings and features a garden or balcony, king size beds draped with mosquito netting, writing desk, wardrobe, mirror, ceiling fan, air-conditioned, television (except in standard rooms) safe and hairdryer. Junior Suites have a living room with a sofa-bed and the Suites are ideal for families because they can accommodate four people comfortably.
Facilities: the Italian management of the “Ora Hotels” Group guarantees a high quality service and most of the staff can also speak Italian. The meeting point of the hotel is the dramatically set “makuti” roof area with waterworks where you can find the reception, the information desk, the boutique and the main bar in a spacious living area. You can play billiards, table tennis and table football. The restaurant, where you can enjoy a lavish buffet, is located in front of the swimming pool and overlooks the sea. It offers Zanzibari dishes and Italian homemade pasta, grilled seafood, desserts and abundant fresh exotic fruit. Every week you can taste a Zanzibari dinner and enjoy a gala dinner. You can also have a romantic lobster dinner (at an extra cost). A covered and an open relax area is located on the swimming pool side where you have something to drink at the Pool Bar. Walking along the swimming pool that winds through the resort with waterworks, you can reach the sandy beach where the nice Soft Beach Bar is located. The swimming pool and the beach areas are provided with sun beds and cushions. Beach towels are also provided on a deposit. Wi-fi internet connection free of charge. During the day the Animation Team organizes recreational and sports activities, while in the evening, you can enjoy local shows and entertainments. In addition mountain bikes are at your disposals. Diving and snorkelling centre operating off the premises with the assistance of Italian speaking staff.
Treatment: Soft All Inclusive: welcome drink, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant. Morning break at 11.00 am and teatime at 5.00 pm. Soft drinks and water served in glasses at the restaurant during the meals and at the bars from 10 am to 10 pm. American coffee and tea are also included. Alcoholic drinks, cocktails and canned or bottled drinks are not included. A “late breakfast” service from 10.30 am to 12.00 am provides breakfast at the main bar for those who love to sleep and relax until late in the morning.
Medical Service: ambulatory service is provided upon request by an Italian doctor resident on the premises.
