Coral Reef: a simple framed resort suitable for an informal clientele, located in Pwani Mchangani, on the North Eastern coast of the island, just an hour drive from the capital Stone Town. The Coral Reef is nestled on a hill sloping towards the sea and enjoys a wonderful view on the Indian Ocean.
Accomodation: 60 rooms well integrated in the natural surrounding, some overlooks the white sandy beach framed by coconut palm trees. The rooms are divided in Standard and Superior, furnished in local style and appointed with individual entrance on a private fitted veranda, bathroom with shower, typical Zanzibari beds with mosquito nets and ceiling fan. Standard rooms are located in the garden while Superior rooms are right on the beach and feature air-conditioned and safe.
Facilities: the Italian management of this resort conveys a homely and cosy atmosphere, guarantees a good standard service and a warm welcoming. The resort features an ocean view terraced restaurant with a selection of Italian food, Zanzibari dishes, grilled seafood and abundant fresh exotic fruit. Every week you can taste a Zanzibari dinner and you can also have a romantic lobster dinner (at an extra cost). 2 bars: one on the beach and opens from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm. You can have tropical cocktails prepared with fresh fruit, soft drinks and the authentic Italian “espresso” here. The second bar, on the pool area, is a meeting point where, especially in the evening, the Staff Members organize entertainments, piano bar, karaoke, discos, local folklore events with Masai dancing and singing, African shows and local acrobats. Football table, board games and cards are at your disposal. During the day the Staff organizes beach volley matches and fitness exercises in the total respect of the guests relax. The beach area is equipped with sun loungers, sun umbrellas in a typical “makuti” style and towels (with a deposit).  There is  also a Spa in the resort, at an extra cost you can get special beauty treatments and massages done by our qualified personnel.  Wireless Internet connection free of charge for those who love to take their computer on holiday.  Another Internet point can be found in the reception area. A boutique on-site sells local products and handicrafts.   The major credit cards are accepted, you have to pay a commission on electronic credit cards only. Laundry and baby sitting service (on request).  During the day, our resident Assistant is at your disposal for any help or information and to book excursions and safaris. Kite surf, diving and snorkelling centre operating off the premises.
Treatment: Soft All Inclusive: welcome drink, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant. At 11.00 am you can have fresh exotic fruit at the Beach Bar and teatime at 5.00 pm. Soft drinks and water served in glasses at the restaurant during the meals and at the bars from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. American coffee and tea are also included. Alcoholic drinks, cocktails, canned or bottled drinks and Italian “espresso” not included. A “late breakfast” service at the main bar, from 10.30 am to 12 am, can provide breakfast for the clients who love to rest until late in the morning.
