STONE TOWN AND SPICE TOUR: FULL DAY EXCURSION.
We will start at 9.00am. After approximately 60 minutes drive, in jeep or minibus, we will visit the Spice Plantations Farm on foot. It is in KIDUCHI village, at about 15 kilometres from Stone Town.  We will get the chance to explore an exotic and unique world: we will learn about the spices of Zanzibar and a variety of fruit trees and exotic plants such as vanilla, cloves, cardamom, pepper, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. After our visit, we will head to the old capital city and cultural heart of Zanzibar, Stone Town. Fascinating with its winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses, it has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will visit the former slave market site, the colourful present-day market and we will wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets of the Old Town. As optional visits, the Sultan Palace: “Tip Tip House”, the House of Wonders: the “Beit el Ajab” and the house of Freddy Mercury. To end up our trip, we can have something to drink at the “African House” a former English Colony Club, a very beautiful lounge café with a wonderful terrace to admire the sunset. Return to the hotel by dinnertime.
